Privacy Policy
1. Our Privacy Philosophy: Local-First
At Meadow UI, we believe your desktop environment is your private workspace. Unlike cloud-dependent software, Meadow UI is engineered from the ground up as a local-first desktop system.
2. Information We Collect
When interacting with the Meadow UI web portal (meadowui.com) or creating an online account, we collect only the minimal data required to provide authentication and release updates:
- Account Information: Your name, chosen username, and email address.
- Security Credentials: Passwords are cryptographically salted and hashed using PBKDF2/SHA-512 (100,000 iterations). We never store raw passwords.
- Device Sessions: Approximate browser user-agent and IP addresses for session authorization and sign-in security alerts.
3. Transactional Email Delivery (Brevo)
We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) as our transactional email platform to send essential system communications:
- Account verification codes during registration.
- Security alerts when a new device logs in.
- Password reset and 2FA authentication notices.
Your email address is used solely for these service-critical communications and is never sold or rented to third-party advertisers.
4. Data Storage & Security
Account records and authentication sessions are protected by industry-standard HTTPS (TLS 1.3), JSON Web Tokens (JWT), and isolated database storage on secure UK/EU server infrastructure.
5. Your Rights (GDPR & UK DPA)
Under UK and EU GDPR, you retain full ownership of your personal information:
- Right of Access: You can view your connected devices and account profile anytime in the Meadow Account Drawer.
- Right to Erasure: You can request complete deletion of your account and associated data.
- Right of Rectification: You can update your email, username, and password directly.
6. Contact Us
If you have questions regarding this Privacy Policy or wish to request data deletion, contact our Privacy Officer at admin@meadowui.com.
